Mauricio Sanhueza (Peru,1978)  studied at the University of Lima from 1996 until 2000. He then continued his studies at the Lima visual arts school, Corriente Alterna, graduating in 2006 with top honors. In 2011 he obtain a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from San Marcos University. Since 2004 he has participated in several collective art exhibits and festivals in Peru and abroad. Mauricio's videos have been screened at many international video-art and experimental short-film festivals and have won many awards.

The Magic Bullet, 3' 6", 2018, Peru

This video as its title indicates makes reference to the theory in which it is explained how a single bullet was the one that caused the death of the former president of the U.S.A. John F. Kennedy (1917-1963), concluding that the shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, dismissing the conspiracy theory. This work, in a sarcastic way, makes the audience thought how Hollywood has transformed reality in such a way that a national tragedy as the president’s assassination becomes mere entertainment when come through the mass media and advertising.
