Afterlife, objects and projection

Afterlife examines the cultural shift from orthodox belief systems toward more techno-scientific pragmatics. It proposes the harnessing of biomass potential after biological death, through the use of Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) technology. The process charges a standard dry cell battery that could then be used to power a range of electronic products. Here, a form of regeneration can occur - batteries, typically referred to in terms of life or extra-life, now become afterlife. Thus, the technology provides a contemporary expression of life after death as an alternative to existing bereavement systems.
